Royalty & Publishing ✦ FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
What is 100% Royalty at Navyashi Prakashan?
When you publish with Navyashi Prakashan, you receive 100% royalty on each sale. Your royalty is calculated as: MRP − Platform Commission − Production Cost. Navyashi Prakashan does not retain any publisher's cut from your earnings — every rupee of profit is yours.
What is Minimum Selling Price and MRP?
Minimum Selling Price is the lowest price at which your book can be sold, calculated based on production cost and platform commission — ensuring each sale is financially viable. MRP is the price you set for your readers. A higher MRP means a higher royalty per copy sold.
What are the distribution platforms?
Your book is distributed on Amazon India, Amazon worldwide (USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy), Flipkart, Kindle, Google Play, Google Books, and the Navyashi Prakashan Store — giving your book a truly global reach from day one across 100+ countries and 35,000+ locations.
How and when do I receive my royalties?
Royalties are paid on a monthly basis and transferred directly to your registered bank account. You can track all sales, channel-wise earnings, and cumulative royalties in real time on your Author Dashboard.
Who retains the copyright of my book?
Since you are self-publishing, you own the copyright entirely. Navyashi Prakashan does not claim any ownership, rights, or royalty over your work. We operate on a Non-Exclusive Agreement, meaning you are free to publish elsewhere simultaneously if you choose.
How can I order more copies of my book?
Authors can order copies of their book at any time — you only pay the production cost + shipping + GST. There is no minimum order quantity, and your book is always in stock through our Print on Demand (POD) model.
What happens after I register for a publishing plan?
After registration and confirmation of your chosen plan, you will be asked to sign a publishing agreement to begin the process. Our team will then collect inputs for manuscript formatting and cover design to ensure your book is exactly as you envision it.
Does production cost change based on my book?
Yes — production cost varies based on number of pages, book size, format (paperback/hardback), and print type (B&W or colour). Use the calculator above to get an accurate estimate for your specific book before setting your selling price.
